DuelRing collects as little as the service can function on. This page describes exactly what is stored and why.
IF YOU VOTE
Nothing about you is stored. Voting requires no account, no login, and no email. A vote record contains only which startup it was for, how many votes were bought, and when - with no identifier that points back to the person who bought it.
Your payment details are handled entirely by our payment provider. We never see or store your card number.
IF YOU ENTER A STARTUP
We store what is needed to run the contest and to contact you:
- ▸ Startup name, tagline, website URL, and logo - all shown publicly
- ▸ Your email address - used only to send duel results and billing notices. It is never shown publicly and never sold.
- ▸ Your entry type, bid amount, and auto-rejoin limits
- ▸ A payment reference from our payment provider, so that charges can be traced. We never store card numbers.
WHAT IS PUBLIC
Your startup's name, tagline, link, win/loss record, streak, total votes received, total spent, and clicks received are public. Your email address and billing details are not.
CLICK TRACKING
Outbound links to a startup's website pass through a redirect so we can count them. We record the click and the referring page. We do not set advertising cookies and do not track you across other websites.
WHO ELSE PROCESSES YOUR DATA
- ▸ Supabase - database hosting (United States)
- ▸ Vercel - application hosting
- ▸ Our payment provider - payments, as merchant of record. Named on the checkout page before you pay.
- ▸ Resend - sending duel result emails
EMAILS
Founders receive an email after each of their duels. Every one carries a one-click link that switches auto-rejoin off. We do not send marketing email.
YOUR RIGHTS
Write to support@duelring.club to access, correct, or delete your data. We will remove a listing on request; contest results that have already been decided remain in the public record so the leaderboard stays truthful.
